I would agree but I have to say its because I had one of the best tour guide who also offered private car service which made all the difference! His prices were affordable and he was honest, professional and I felt safe having someone trustworthy and reliable to translate for me and answer questions that the guidebooks couldn't. So yes with the right people to guide you, Egypt is a safe and wonderful place to visit!
