Hi huys

Ive recently just moved to Italy as a 6month placement as an au pair. Im into my 3rd week and its been amazing. I am located in orvieto which is an historial town with loots of character. Its at that stage now where i am becoming alittle isolated. I have lots of free time and looking for an english speaking person to share my adventure with and bexome friends.

I'm going to be an au pair in Orvieto in June until September! I'm starting to feel a little terrified I won't meet very many people that speak English or will want to travel.

Hi, Lauren, welcome to Italy. Hope ur having wonderful time over there....I live in orte ,It's not that far from Orvieto.I work as a privet tutor in Rome and usually free in the morning. I understand how hard to be alone, as I had the same feeling when I reached Italy 9 years ago. There wasn’t anybody to speak English that time.so I had to go to British council in rome to communicate with somebody and at least read newspapers. I live here with my cousin sister, she works in rome too. We have rented out an apartment close to the Orte train station.so hope to hear from u soon. Best regds.

Hi! I have'nt had any look as of yet, but the family i work for have advised that the american collahe near by doesnt start season till the start of March, so hopefully then i will be fine. Orvieto is a beautiful town veru hostorocal. Im not sure how long i am here for but the family go to tuscany for 2 months in june. If ypu can come earlier id definatey reccommend it as season is quiet for exchange students then as holiday season. I would strongly advise you to learn italian if you havent already. I dont any and not many speak english here.

    Kind regards
    Lauren x

Hey Lauren. There is a possibility I may be coming to Orvieto In June to au pair. It's definitely not certain yet, but if we do, we can definitely catch up! Just wondering if you have had any more luck with finding other young people to hang out with? I really like Orvieto as a town but I'm scared I won't find any young people/friends to spend my free time with!
