Noel Coward's "Blithe Spirit"
Let's celebrate the 125th Anniversary Year of Noel Coward's birth. 'Blithe Spirit' (1941) remains one of his most popular comedies.
Novelist Charles is writing a thriller about a homicidal medium and invites a local medium to conduct a seance so he can watch the tricks of her trade. His second wife - controlling, rational Ruth - and two friends welcome the eccentric Madame Arcarti for the evening's entertainment. To Charles's consternation, the ghost of his first wife, the mischievous Elvira, is summoned, and the play becomes a tug-of-love comedy…with a difference!
Great characters, a brilliant plot and very funny lines: 'Blithe Spirit' is to die for...
