Hopper House Tours

See back roads & hidden places where Edward Hopper painted in Truro in the 1930s. Tour is daily for two-hours, beginning at 9:30 AM and again at 1:30 PM and costs $69 per person

On this two hour, daily, auto tour, you are driven to more than 30 locations where the American Artist, Edward Hopper, painted in Truro. Tours begin in the Highland Light parking lot off of Highland Light Road, North Truro, at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 PM. Hopper and his wife, Josephine, summered and painted here for 34 years. You receive a notebook to use during the tour that has photos of all the paintings to be discussed. The notebook includes historical photos showing the landscape when it was as treeless as Hopper painted it. In addition to a discussion of Hopper's artistic achievements and the artistic license that he used, local architecture, history, and environmental changes to the landscape will be discussed.
