The Central Saint Matthew United Church of Christ (CSM) will celebrate its Fifth Anniversary on Sunday, November 3, 2019. The mission statement of CSM, “Bringing New Orleans Together! Loving God, Embracing Diversity, Creating Community” is the foundation that attracts the multiplicity membership of CSM, its neighbors, and friends. Everyone is invited to come together for this cornerstone event.

The Anniversary Worship Celebration is titled “Honoring Our Past, Charting Our Future” and the invited special guest speaker is Dr. Reynold Verret, President, Xavier University of Louisiana. Dr. Verret is the sixth president and second lay leader of Xavier University.

“’No matter who you are, or where you are in life’s journey you are welcome here’, is CSM’s motto,” says Rev. Philip K. Brockett. “We believe that God is still speaking calling us to inclusion, justice and kindness in the midst of an increasingly divided and harsh world. We invite anyone and everyone to join us on this journey.”
