The Orchestra of The Classical Music Project invites you to join them in a lively afternoon of music making! The program features three musical masterpieces, each with a tie to Italy.

Maestro Jere Lantz, known and loved for delighting audiences with "the story behind the music", will conduct the Orchestra and entertain you with insights into how love and the culture of Italy inspired these masterworks.

Marissa Benedict's brilliant trumpet playing will amaze you as she performs the solo in Alessandro Stradella's Sinfonia avanti il Barcheggio for Trumpet, Violins, and Basso continuo.

Be enchanted as the bassoons, trombone, horns, trumpets, flutes, oboes, and strings shine in Igor Stravinsky's Pulcinella Suite.

Maestro Lantz will take you on a delightful ride across the Italian countryside as he leads the Orchestra in a rousing rendition of Felix Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4, known as the "Italian".

BTW, the painting in our cover image is by Felix Mendelssohn!

Convenient parking is available in the Westminster Ramp for $12.

Pro tip: To top off the afternoon, head over to your favorite Italian restaurant after the concert to savor a great dinner along with a nice glass of Italian wine. (And maybe a cannoli!)

The Orchestra of The Classical Music Project is a fully professional orchestra, whose members perform on, at, and with the major stages, venues, and musical organizations in and around the Twin Cities, as well as the five-state region.
