Though I've been more in touch with my Palestinian side and I am very Arab and expressive, I am actually half Czech and have had the opportunity to visit Czech Republic. The thing that I apprecite most about the Czech people is that they keep it real. They smile only when they are happy, and not to show off their teeth. They have a stern demeanor but they will still make you laugh because they are very witty and save humor for when it counts.

The thing I least like is the Czech lack of affection as compared to Mediterranean folk. As half Arab, my father's side would always hug me and kiss me and tell me they love me, but my Czech mother and grandfather would be less warm, but still more warm than most of the Anglo Americans I grew up around. As I got older, I realized that Czech people are just as loving, just more reserved of their emotions, which is common of Slavic people. They are not like Western Europeans who have no emotions.
